Have you finished writing your novel, but can’t get an agent even though you’ve had great feedback from friends and family who have read it?

This is the situation that I found myself back in when I finished writing my first novel back in 2017. Now I have an amazing agent and have had four thrillers published by Penguin and Orion. They have been on the shelves of Waterstones and supermarkets, have been book of the month with WHSmith Travel and have also been optioned for television.
Friends and family mean well, but often don’t know what is required to get a submissions package into the best possible shape to attract an agent.
I will help you to identify where a manuscript needs tweaking to increase pace, how to make characters’ voices more distinct, how to fix plot holes and ensure where the novel is set pulls the reader into the story.
I can work with you to help you achieve your goals. As well as being a published author myself, I have mentored other writers who have then gone on to get agents and book deals.
I accept psychological suspense, psychological thrillers, crime, police procedural and women’s fiction (or any genre for proof-reading only). I’m unable to help with literary fiction, science fiction, romance, cosy crime, fantasy, or historical novels.

“Nikki’s manuscript report cut right to the heart of the issues that were troubling me about my novel. Her industry knowledge and skill shone through in her suggestions for both larger structural issues and sentence-level improvements. After multiple drafts of this novel over way too many years, I now have a clear and exciting path to follow to draw the threads of my story together.”
